Case study

ASKO Appliances

Energy efficiency is second nature to ASKO Appliances.

The client

ASKO Appliances was created in 1950 through the imagination of a young Swedish farmer, Karl-Erik Andersson, whose desire was to build a washing machine that was both energy and water-efficient.

Today, ASKO is a global brand, renowned for its range of high-performance appliances for the laundry and kitchen.

The Problem

Energy costs at the Melbourne HQ were too high

Client was unable to keep tabs on usage and tariffs

“For the office owners and myself it’s a lot of effort,
very time-consuming and complicated to reviewour energy bills.”
- Nancy Liu
Finance Director, ASKO Appliances.

The Solution

Reverse energy auction.
We ran a reverse auction which resulted in future savings for ASKO’s Melbourne HQ out to 2025.

Network Tariff review.
In August 2021, Energy Action conducted a Network Tariff review which identified over $1,110 in annual savings.

ASKO Appliances

We have identified an annual savings of $1,110 and saved ASKO Appliances a total of 8.6% on their energy costs.
