Scott Easton
Head of Energy Trading and Pricing
Scott has a strong background in the energy industry with over 20 years’ experience working for Electricity Distributors, Retailers and Regulators. He has worked in energy trading roles, managed Power Purchase Agreements, prepared distribution price determinations and advised the Minister for Energy on the development of the National Electricity Market. Scott’s experience also includes managing Westfield’s national utilities portfolio and providing capital investment consulting to Transport for NSW’s $10bn infrastructure program.
Scott joined Energy Action in 2018. In his current role as Head of Energy Trading and Pricing, Scott manages our energy tendering (RFPs) and structured electricity portfolio involving the development of energy purchasing strategies to help our clients reduce their energy and environmental certificate purchase costs. He also provides energy consultancy services to some of Australia’s largest energy consumers.
Scott has completed an MBA and holds a post graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment from the Financial Services Institute of Australasia (FINSIA), as well as a post-graduate diploma in Technical Analysis (ATAA). Scott’s bachelor degree is in Commerce (BComm) from the Australian National University.
