LaFarge Plasterboard is placed in Australia's top 5% of natural gas users, using most of their natural gas across two sites. With their gas supplies contributing a significant amount to their overall operating costs, it was imperative LaFarge Plasterboard felt confident they were engaged in the best possible energy deal. According to John Giataganelis, Projects and Analysis Manager at LaFarge Plasterboards, EnergyAction saved laFarge Plasterboards many hundreds of thousands of dollars from their energy spend. In April 2005 Ramsay Health significantly expanded their portfolio, acquiring what was previously Australia¹s largest hospital operator, Affinity Health. As part of their process for incorporating the new hospitals into their asset management plan, Ramsay contacted EnergyAction to leverage their superior knowledge of market pricing and to coordinate their complex energy requirements.
