Our Board

Dr Ronald Watts - Chairman

Ronald Watts has worked at CEO and board level across a range of technology-based enterprises, and at senior level in government.  His management experience covers software and telecommunications industries, and as a consultant, he has worked with companies on strategy and fund-raising in biotechnology, utilities, food processing, and energy.

Currently, Ronald serves on the Australian Business Foundation’s Research Advisory Committee, and he has had previous science advisory appointments.  He is also Adjunct Research Fellow at the University of South Australia, and supervises doctoral students.

Ronald has a science honours degree from UNSW and a PhD from Cambridge.  He has also completed a graduate diploma in business, majoring in finance.

Steve Twaddell - Director

A graduate of Brown University Steve served two years of active duty in the US Navy.

Having worked in the computer industry since 1959, holding a number of technical positions, Steve moved into sales, then management. With experience in insurance, defence, computer hardware (IBM) and software, health and finance, Steve transferred to Australia in 1980 to set up a subsidiary of a US parent company. It quickly became the major profit contributor to the parent by 1985.

Steve serves on several company boards in both Australia and New Zealand. In addition to EnergyAction these include Australian Fresh Seafood, Toveelen and Aerial Surveys Limited, which he chairs

Paul Meehan - Director

Principal of Meehans Solicitors Firm, Paul Meehan has been practicing Law in the Macarthur area for over 20 years, specializing in Conveyancing/Property Investment/Commercial Law/Leases/Investment & Tax Advice. Once a small practice, the practise soon became one of the largest in the Macarthur area. Paul's exceptional leadership skills and dedication to personalised service recently led his team to certification to SIO Law 9000 Legal Best Practice.

Dr Peter Weldon - Director

Peter Weldon is a consultant in market research, media research, social research and strategic marketing, and brings to EnergyAction his nearly 40 years of experience in these fields in Asia Pacific and Latin America. He has worked for ACNielsen, Survey Research Group (SRG), The Ford Foundation, University of Singapore, Cornell University and the United States Army and is a director of companies in Australia, Hong Kong, Philippines and Thailand.

He completed an undergraduate degree in Government at Harvard University and master's and doctoral degrees in Development Sociology at Cornell University . He is a permanent resident of Thailand and  Hong Kong.

Gray Goodwin - Director

Gray Goodwin is a senior executive in the IT Consulting industry in Australia. As Founder and CEO of Integration Management, an international telecommunications consulting company Gray has a proven reputation as a business developer throughout the Asia Pacific region in Information Technology businesses.

Gray has worked as a consultant or manager at various levels in NCR Corporation, Recognition Pacific as General Manager and Burroughs Corporation in the 70's and 80's. In 1984 Gray was appointed MD of Gould Electronics for Australia. In 1988, joining SMS Consulting, as Foundation Director of their Sydney office.

Gray founded Integration Management in 1992. Integration Management was founded to provide resources and skills to rapidly emerging telecommunications companies in Australia and Asia. Later it evolved to make and sell Telecommunications back office systems for telcoms companys in 10 Asian countries and in the USA. Im merged with Argent Networks in 2006.

Gray has conducted business and consulting assignments in more than 10 countries in the Asia Pacific and the USA. Currently Gray is working with several asian partners on start ups in the Philippines and Hong Kong and Vietnam.

Gray is a Fellow of the Company Directors Institute of Australia and an Associate Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management.
